The Highlanders visited Oamaru on Wednesday as part of their build-up to the 2010 Rebel Sport Super 14 Season. The entire squad was involved in an open training session at Centennial Park, and this was followed by a visit by players to a number of local primary schools and also the Oamaru Aquatic Centre.
The Schools visited included; St Josephs, Oamaru North, Penbrook, Duntroon, Fenwick and also & Oamaru Intermediate.
Major Sponsor, BNZ, was on hand at Centennial Park to delivers some free sausages to the public in attendance and this was followed by a BBQ on Thames Street and a town visit by the players.
The team is now building-up to their first game against the Crusaders on Saturday 13 February in Christchurch.
