The Highlanders have lost this morning to the Stormers at Newlands in Cape Town.  The Stormers converted a 16-0 halftime lead into a 33-0 fulltime result.  The Highlanders showed enterprise throughout the match, but failed to complete a number of promising attacking movements.  Inspirational leader, Jimmy Cowan, lunged for the line early in the second half and this resulted in a hand injury that saw Cowan leave the field.  The Highlanders now travel to Pretoria to face the Bulls before returning to Dunedin.
