The Highlanders fell short tonight at Canberra Stadium against the Brumbies in round 12 of the Rebel Sport Super 14. Rocky Elsom opened the scoring for the home side in the 11th minute, and this lead to a 17 points to 3 halftime lead over the visitors. Two second half tries put the game well out of reach of the Highlanders and the boot of Matt Giteau ensured the Brumbies finished their last home match of the season in positive fashion.
With one match of the season remaining for the Highlanders the players will take the positives out of tonight’s match, and look to finish the season in a positive way against the Reds.
