Highlanders Focus On Charity

This week the Highlanders have been focusing on Friday's Blues game. Besides putting in the effort off the field this week, they are also supporting Koru Care Otago, the match-day charity.
During the week, the Highlanders have been supporting the charity by raising awareness, funds and assisting a number of Koru Care Otago activities.
'We’re really working hard to support the community this season, and as we know how much the community has supported the team since super rugby started' said Highlanders captain Jimmy Cowan.
Today the Highlanders visited Fairfield primary school with Koru Care patron Josh Kronfeld, and tomorrow a group of the Highlanders will visit the child cancer ward at Dunedin hospital alongside Josh and Ange Daniels from Koru Care Otago.
The franchise public can get behind the fund-raising effort by purchasing a match-day programme tonight, as funds raised from the programmes sold will go directly to Koru Care Otago. Programmes will be
on sale for $1, but all gold coin donations will be accepted at Friday's game.

Highlanders Golden Ticket
This season the Highlanders have some special golden tickets that they will be giving out to very special Highlander fans within the franchise region. A number of tickets have already been given out, so when you see the players or team in the community, make sure you get your hands on a golden ticket.
The Highlanders golden tickets allow children to go to all Carisbrook games for free and adults get into the games on a 2 for thr price of 1 deal. Every ticket that is presented at the Carisbrook ticket office goes into the draw to win some great Highlanders merchandise.

LG Highlanders Opening Day
The community kicked-off the season welcoming the 2010 Highlanders’ squad on the 7th of February at Carisbrook. Excited kids, parents, and Highlanders, participated in an action-packed day of games, blow up challenges from Big Ups, Rippa rugby, autographs and pictures with the players and mascot, and a BNZ BBQ!
The event wrapped up with an introduction of the players by More FM Breakfast Host Damian Newell and one family went away happy winning the draw for the 42” LG Plasma Screen TV. The Highlanders enjoyed meeting their loyal fans and are looking forward to future events with the community.
